The Master 2 "Issues and Health Policy" aims to train professionals able to understand the social and political issues that cross the human or animal health. In partnership with the Jean Monnet University in Saint-Etienne, Sciences Po Lyon will welcome twenty students in the 2016 school year.
The training is for students already enrolled in the curriculum of IEP Lyon as it is possible to follow this specialty from the fourth year. Future external candidates for the entrance examination in the fourth year are referred for scientific education students and licensed in social sciences from a French university. Veterinarians, agronomists, engineers medical students are targeted, as well as graduate students with a degree in political science, sociology, anthropology, history, education sciences, psychology, geography, law and information science and communication. The first session of entries takes place on the space ecandidat, from 23 May to 30 June 2016.
From September 2016, will offer training students to deal with the analysis of health policy at large. The following areas are planned: chronic diseases, supported and medical professions, organization of health systems, public health and social inequalities, anthropology of illness, health to the test of precariousness, foundations and challenges of medicine evidence, etc.
The master "Issues and Health Policy" will open to interdisciplinarity and realities of the medical and health field. Several courses will be conducted in the hospital services, nursing units, etc. Part of the course will be available on the North Hospital Health Campus in Saint-Etienne.
