Schools specialized aeronautical engineers
Engineers and executives represent nearly a third of the aerospace industrial sector workforce. Here, unlike other sectors, 80% of managers have an engineering background that enables them to properly understand the technical side of their business (and know what they’re talking ).
As elsewhere, special schools are popular, but the university is also in demand for research activities.

The ENAC is a little university of aerospace businesses. This school trains pilots, air traffic controllers, technicians and engineers who work in the aerospace sector and as officials in civil aviation, and has been for over 30 years. It offers seven different formations including that of ENAC engineer (IENAC).
ISAE was born on 1 October 2007: indeed, two major French engineering schools in aerospace, SUPAERO and ENSICA, united their talents to form ISAE.
Attached to the Ministry of Defence under the supervision of the General Delegation for Armaments, and based in Toulouse on campus Jolimont and Rangueil, ISAE aims to create the largest European center for high-level training in the aerospace:
• proposing a particularly based learning offers the distinct and complementary development of both SUPAERO engineering programs and ENSICA, on a range of masters courses and specialized masters and competitive on the development of continuing education,
• developing international recognition of research policy to be an internationally renowned training center for students of master and doctoral research,
• investing in the cooperation and partnership with industry, international higher education institutions and major national and European research organizations to meet specific business needs in terms of skills and trades.
National School of Aeronautics and Mechanical (ENSMA) to Poitiers
The ENSMA specifically trains engineers who intend to design, consulting firms and research centers in the aeronautics and space.

The recruitment is done on common contest polytechnics (CCP) on MP die, PC, PSI, TSI, PT, on scientific Deug national competition on ATS and securities contest (scientific license type DUT) in the first year; Also on securities (master or first year of master) in the second year.
During their studies, students must complete three required courses: a one-month internship worker, an engineer internship of three to four months and a final project for four to five months, training to achieve in business or research organization in France or abroad.
The ENSMA also offers various research masters.
College of aeronautical technology and automotive (ESTACA) in Levallois-Perret
ESTACA is a private school that awards a diploma recognized engineering qualifications Commission. It trains engineers in the four transportation sectors: aerospace, automotive and guided transport (train, tram ).
ESTACA recruiting scientific baccalauréat (S and STI priority) and, in parallel admission of students from preparatory classes and the University. The training includes five years of study with integrated preparatory classes.
It prepares future engineers to technology and methods in use in businesses and allows them to access all sectors of transport activities.
It offers specialized transportation available: aerospace, automotive or guided transport; deepening a scientist with the choice of a sector: structures and materials; fluids and energy; vibration and acoustic; controls and systems; embedded or mechatronic systems.
The Polytechnic Institute of Advanced Sciences (IPSA) school of aeronautical engineering
The objective of the IPSA is to train engineers and senior executives experts in engineering aerospace systems able to fill posts in a company (research and development, production, operation of operational systems ) and practice a trade in related advanced aeronautics and space.
Several intake paths are possible: after tray tray + 1 after a BTS, a DEUG, DUT, a second or third year of license, after a master on file, tests and interviews and examination after class scientific preparatory.
The training curriculum includes an integrated preparatory course (CPI) of two years and a higher advanced engineering cycle (CSIA) for three years. The first year of CSIA is a core of technical and general education; second year, five options are available: telecom systems, embedded computing, mechatronics, mechanics and structures, energy and propulsion; in the third year, four options are available: avionics and control systems, design of aeronautical systems, space systems design, management and industrial logistics.
For its part, the GEA includes, as the name suggests, the four major schools of additional engineers by training offerings: in Toulouse, ENAC, and ENSICA SUPAERO, and Poitiers, ENSMA.
The latter has a more academic connotation than the other three, which form 75% of the GEA engineers: it is very research-oriented and therefore depends on the Ministry of Research. ENAC under the Ministry of Transport, and SUPAERO ENSICA the Ministry of Defence.
These schools have chosen to join together to defend their interests at national, European and international. The GEA is a member of a European network called Pegasus and federates twenty schools and European universities: the membership of the GEA should make it easier in the next two or three years of student exchanges from one school to another within the network.

Schools of general aviation engineers offering optional
