You want to teach in high school or prep class at the University? Direction ESPE (eg IUFM), which deliver a Masters of careers in teaching (MEEF). To get it, he must not only validate your 4 semesters but also win a contest: aggregation. Tests, preparation, registration all you need to know before embarking on the trials!

Who is Aggregation?

Aggregation is for people who want to teach in high school in preparatory classes for the grandes écoles (CPGE) in higher technical sections (BTS) or in universities as PRAG (Associate Professor).

The first concerned are the students enrolled in the first year of the Master MEEF (Professions Education, education, and training), prepared in the ESPE (graduate schools of the teaching and education). APPLY can also holders of a Master 2 in another discipline or equivalent.

Note that the father and mother of three children, and the top athletes do not have an obligation to graduate to be eligible to sit the tests.

First you pass the eligibility written tests and oral admission tests.

The content of the tests varies according to the discipline you want to teach and in which you have specialized expertise. There are a total of 18 sections:

Section philosophy, grammar section, section classics, modern literature section, section history, geography section, section foreign languages.

math section, physical chemistry section, sciences section of the Life and Earth Sciences of the Universe, biochemistry-biological engineering section, medical and social sciences section.

French composition from the works on the program (7am coeff.12)

2 grammatical texts studies, one prior to 1500, the second post-1500 (2:30, coeff. 4 each)

French composition on a subject relating to one of the two questions of general and comparative literature program (7h, coeff. 10)

Version Latin or Greek version, the candidate’s choice made during the contest entry (4h; coeff.5).

Version chosen by the candidate in one of the following foreign languages: German, English, Arabic, Chinese, Spanish, Hebrew, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Czech (4h; coeff.5).

In the modern literature section:

Lesson on the works of French-language authors in the program, followed by an interview with the jury (preparation 6 pm; test: 40 min; coeff. 13).

Explanation of a French-language text from the works on the program, accompanied by an oral presentation of grammar on the text, followed by an interview with the jury (preparation. 2h 30min; test: 40 minutes; coeff. 12).

Explanation of a French language text extract works to the educational program of the second degree followed by an interview with the jury with respect to jurisdiction Acting State official and ethical and responsible manner (preparation: 1:30; event: 1h; coeff.8).

Reviewed by a former literature or modern text extract works to the program planned for the second French composition (preparation: 2 hours; test: 30 min., 8 coeff.).

The oral tests for admission

For options A, B and C, there are three different events:

1) Proof of algebra and geometry. Then, a question of the competence Acting State official and ethically and responsibly (total: preparation: 3:30; test: maximum 1:30; 5 coeff.).

2) analysis and test probabilities (preparation 3 h test: maximum 1 h; coeff 4)..

3) modeling test with a specific program for each of the 3 options: presentation and dialogue with the jury (preparation: 4h; test: maximum 1:15; coeff.4).

For option D, there are 3 different events:

1) mathematics test from 2 subjects choice proposed by the jury candidates

Then, a question of the competence Acting State official and ethically and responsibly (total: preparation: 3:30; test: maximum 1:20; 5 coeff.).

2) Core Computing Event: presentation by the candidate and interview with the jury (preparation: 3 hours; test: 1 hour maximum; coeff 4)..

3) computer system analysis test: presentation and dialogue with the jury (preparation: 4h; test: maximum 1:15; coeff 4)..

A text explanation on the same historical problem (7h, coeff. 1)

Composition: geography of territories, creation of maps, sketches (7h, weighting 1.)

Test on file: concepts and methods of geography from documents out program. 3 options to choose the candidate at the time of the test: spaces, territories and societies, communities and environment management. (7h, coeff. 1)

For the story:

A general history lesson on issues outside the program, followed by an interview with the jury (preparation. 6h 30min presentation, 30 min maintenance, coeff 2..)

An explanation of historical documents (preparation: 6, stated: about 25 min, 35 min maintenance, coeff 2)

An explanation of a map or geographical documents (preparation: 6, stated:.. About 25 min, 35 min maintenance, coeff 2)

For geography:

Commentary geographical documents (preparation 6am test: maximum 55 minutes, coeff 3..). Then talk with the jury about the competence Acting State official and ethically and responsibly

geography lesson out program from a subject drawn by the candidate (preparation, six hours; test: 55min maximum coeff 3..).

Comment and historical documents of confrontation on issues included in the program (preparation: 6h; test: 55min maximum, coeff 3).

SECTION FOREIGN LANGUAGES

In total, this section includes 12 languages: German, English, Arabic, Chinese, Spanish, Hebrew, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Polish, Dutch.

Eligibility written tests

Essay or composition in the chosen language or French (average 6 or 7 am, coeff. 2, 3 or 4)

translation test (release or theme) (between 4 and 7 pm., coeff. 3 or 4)

The oral tests for admission

Lesson in a foreign language (5 hours preparation, 45 min. Test, coeff. 3)

comment / explanation of text in a foreign language or French (preparation 1h30 to 4h on average, 45 min. test, coeff. 4 or 7 times), followed by an interview with the jury.

Oral translation: Version or theme and maintenance (1 hour of preparation, test: between 45 min and 1 hour, 3 or 7 coeff by language.)

Query on any of the 3 options chosen by the candidate at the time of registration (A) literature, B) civilization, C) language), from a presentation on a topic of literature, or on the civilization country or a linguistic subject. (30 min. Test, 15 min maintenance, coeff. 2)

Interview with a panel covering jurisdiction Acting State official and ethically and responsibly (10 min., 10 min. To interview with the jury, coeff. 4, coupled with other admission tests)

The events take place between March and July. Go to the complete calendar of competitions of education.

The number of candidates depends on the number of places specified by the ministry. The jury, after deliberation, establish a list of candidates in the ranking according to the number of points obtained.

How to register and prepare?

To pass the contest, you must register with the university nearby, in September / October which includes an ESPE.

It is in these schools the teaching staff as you prepare the contest and follow the courses, which are based on:

a theoretical base: child psychology, school philosophy, teaching methods, teaching own specialty prepared to discipline
